The angle architect challenge

The core objective is to teach students how to illustrate degrees as the unit of measure and accurately determine the measure of angles using a protractor. Students will learn the process of aligning the protractor correctly to find both the approximate and exact degree measures. This hands-on process builds fluency in classifying angles (acute, right, obtuse, straight) and is foundational for all subsequent geometry concepts. The lesson aligns with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standard 4.7(C).
